We are excited to introduce you to our Peace Lutheran Church family through our website with the greater hope that we might personally greet you in our place of worship. As an urban congregation in the northeast sector of our nation’s capital, we strive to empower and serve the diverse needs of a diverse people while giving praise, honor and glory to our Great and Almighty God, “Who makes all things possible” through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Join us each Sunday in September for a powerful sermon series and bible study around the theme; The Year of Jubilee – A Time of Emancipation! Each week is designed show the people of God, young and old how to experience emancipation (freedom) from strongholds and hindrances that seek to hold us in bondage where God has proclaimed freedom and release. After the sermon on Sunday you are invited to Wednesday night bible study where we will go deeper into the topic and text for the week We worship the Lord “in spirit and in truth.” We offer two distinct worship styles: traditional (8:00 am) and urban contemporary (11:15 am).
